Mrs. Elfleda “BB” Castillo Esponilla-Balleta, 58, returned to her heavenly home Friday, February 26, 2016, after a yearlong valiant battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Esponilla-Balleta died at around 9:31 p.m. due to cardiac arrest secondary to multiple organ failure while at Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City where she was undergoing treatment. Her husband and son and 7 other members of her family were with her at her bedside.

She is survived by husband Raymundo and son Raymond, daughter-in-law Nygine, grandson Jacob, her sister Evelyn, brothers and sisters -in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She is preceded in death by her parents Cipriano and Rita Esponilla, her eldest sibling Cipriano Jr., and her youngest sibling Chito.

Her remains lie in repose starting today at the family home in Catarman, Northern Samar and will continue until Friday, March 4, after which her remains will be taken to the old family home in Dalupiri Island, also in Northern Samar.

Interment will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Esponilla Family Private Burial Ground, Dalupiri.

Her family requests the prayers of her relatives and friends for the eternal repose of her soul.
