ARTIST TALK & CROCHET DEMONSTRATION BY AZE ONG

Tuesday, January 12, 2016

The Cultural Center of the Philippines presents its first visual arts activity for 2016. Current exhibiting artist Aze Ong will be giving an artist talk and crochet demonstration on January 14, 2016, Thursday, at 4:00 pm, at the CCP’s Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco (Little Theater Lobby). Admission is free.

The Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco (Little Theater Lobby) houses Ong’s exhibit of large scale crochet sculptures entitled Liwanag. The audience is encouraged to interact with the hanging sculptures and to touch, feel, and play as they go from cocoon to cocoon. Drawing from her past experiences and her intuitive process, the artist ventures into the intimacy of her thoughts as they manifest in her works.

Liwanag by Aze Ong is on view until February 7, 2016. Viewing hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
