Tuesday, December 15, 2015

After their successful first solo show last February 2015, British pop band, The Vamps, will be bringing their Wake Up World Tour to the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City on January 30, 2016, 8:00 pm., with Before You Exit and special guest: The Tide — First time in Manila! It’s #3LOGYinMANILA!

The Vamps are a British pop band consisting of Brad Simpson (lead vocals and guitar), James McVey (lead guitar and vocals), Connor Ball (bass guitar and vocals) and Tristan Evans (drums and vocals). They first gained fame in late 2012 with cover songs uploaded to YouTube, leading to comparisons with One Direction and being labeled as a boy band. They were signed to Mercury Records in November 2012. They supported McFly on their Memory Lane Tour in early 2013, and also performed at festivals around the UK as support acts for artists such as The Wanted, JLS, Little Mix, Lawson and Demi Lovato. On September 2013, the Vamps released their debut single Can We Dance, which debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Their second single Wild Heart was released on January 2014 and peaked at number 3. Their third single Last Night was released on UK radio on February 2014 and digital download on April 2014. Their debut album Meet the Vamps was released on April 2014. In February 2014, the Vamps released Wild Heart as their debut single in the US and Canada. The band have launched their own record label but didn’t decide the name yet, and they will be working in partnership with EMI/Universal on the offshoot, and the first act signed was the American band The Tide. The Vamps released their second studio album Wake Up on November 2015. The lead single from the album, Wake Up, was released on October 2015.

Before You Exit is an American pop band from Orlando, Florida. Formed in 2007, the band originally consisted of Connor McDonough, Braiden Wood and Thomas Silvers. A year later, the band included Connor’s younger brother, Riley. In mid-2012, Toby McDonough joined, and the lineup changed to the three brothers with Braiden and Thomas for live performances. Braiden later left the band to pursue a solo career. In August 2009, they self-released their debut EP, A Short Story Long. March 2011 saw the release of another EP, Letting Go. I Like That was released in February 2013. In July 2015, they released their single Model.

The Tide is a band from Los Angeles, California formed in 2015. They are currently signed to The Vamps’ new record label under EMI Universal. They were the supporting act for The Vamps World Tour 2015 along with other artists such as Before You Exit (USA leg), Luke Friend (UK leg) and Union J (UK leg). The four of them got together when The Vamps announced a secret project in late December 2014 and held auditions for a USA guitarist and drummer aged 15-17 to form a band and that more would be announced in early 2015. The band started on February 25, 2015, consisting of 4 members: Austin Corini (lead vocals and guitar), Drew Dirksen (lead guitar and backing vocals), Levi Jones (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Nate Parker (drums — which are hardly used in covers — and backing vocals). In February 2015, The Vamps announced that they would be taking them on tour for The Vamps World Tour 2015. The Tide have so far played shows across Europe in various countries such as Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Ireland for The Vamps UK Arena Tour. The first show of the tour kicked off in Glasgow, Scotland and the last show was in Madrid, Spain.
