The Cultural Center of the Philippines presents its last Visual Arts and Museum Division venue grant exhibition for the year 2015. Aze Ong’s solo show entitled Liwanag is an odyssey that will take you through her life stages. The artist repurposes her past crochet art pieces and transforms them akin to a butterfly’s metamorphosis. The audience is encouraged to interact with the hanging sculptures and to touch, feel, and play as they go from cocoon to cocoon. Drawing from her past experiences and her intuitive process, she ventures into the intimacy of her thoughts as they manifest in her works.

Liwanag opens on December 10, 2015, Thursday, 6:00 pm, at the Bulwagang Carlos V. Francisco (Little Theater Lobby), CCP Main Theater Building, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. The night will include a collaborative interactive performance by artist and the Sipat Lawin Ensemble.

Liwanag by Aze Ong is on view until February 7, 2016. Viewing hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
