BAKING SUPER MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH WHIPPED CHOCOLATE GANACHE FROSTING

Thursday, November 05, 2015

Feel like baking a cake but afraid of failing? Well, you should try out this Super Moist Chocolate Cake recipe from food dot com! This is by far the best moist chocolate cake recipe ever on the planet. For me, it doesn’t even need a frosting. It is chocolatey enough on its own. It is also an easy chocolate cake recipe that anyone can whip up even if you have never baked a cake.

What we need:

1 1⁄2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1⁄3 cup cocoa
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup water
1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Here’s how to cake it:

Mix dry items ingredients in a bowl using a wooden spoon.

Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl/container.

Combine dry and wet ingredients in a bowl mixing together with a wooden spoon.

Transfer mixture to greased cake pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 30 minutes.

Set aside to cool before frosting.

Now I know I said this cake doesn’t need frosting. But what’s a cake without frosting, right?

For the whipped chocolate ganache frosting, we need:

8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract (if you’re feeling fancy, you can add Kahlua, too)

Here’s how to do it. Watch.

The aftermath.

Not so perfect, though.

Here’s how to properly (or perfectly) fill and frost a cake with ganache.

Yum!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some iFlix to watch and a slice of super moist chocolate cake + a cup of tea to enjoy.

Good night, for now.
