In 1967, Hans Brumann’s search for inspiration and excellence led him to the Philippines to work with the most prestigious firm at the time, La Estrella del Norte. Hans Brumann has been a Filipino citizen since 1975.

Brumann has initiated collaborative exhibitions with other celebrated artists in the Philippines — sculptors and painters — fusing jewelry, wood, glass, and other elements. His work is distinctive — a strong minimalist approach, never ornate or overdone — a reflection of his impeccable style.

Since the ‘90s, Brumann has been crafting free standing sculptures as well as wall sculptures. Singular in his use of locally sourced materials, Brumann has always used Philippine hardwood like Narra, Molave, and Kamagong as well as Mother of Pearl.
