The country’s biggest book fair is right around the corner: The Manila International Book Fair is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year as it heads back to the SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on September 17 to 21, 2014.

The Manila International Book Fair celebrates 35 long fruitful years of bringing and showcasing the largest and most varied collection of literature for leisure and academic reading to its loyal attendees not only all over the metro but for people who come from outside Manila as well. Yearly patrons of the book fair better prepare themselves for what the Manila International Book Fair has in store for this year.

The MIBF still remains to be a go to event for everyone’s book fixes. They have everything you need from fiction bestsellers, to textbooks, to graphic novels, and even educational materials are all under one roof. Moreover, the MIBF is also the go-to venue for this year’s most awaited book launches and signings, dialogues with readers, contests, and other literary events.

After more than three decades in the industry, it has evolved from an event for the publishing industry and the academe to one of the most-awaited exhibitions for all sorts of readers. The MIBF has become a gathering of sorts for bookworms of all ages and walks of life to celebrate the joys of reading and the knowledge each book brings about. It has also been providing a venue for the exchange of ideas amongst players in the publishing and academic industry.

There are also two more events set to happen during the MIBF: The first ever DigiTech Manila Conference and Expo that aims to provide and promote creative teaching techniques and learning technologies is slated on September 19 to 20, 2014, and The Best of Anime that continues to be a big event for the local otakus will be slated on September 20 to 21, 2014.
